Book Release

This is a TENTATIVE update on my upcoming book release party for both Dark Sorcerer Threatening and The Vampire’s Witch.  Note the word “TENTATIVE”!!!

It will be held on the evening of Saturday, August 3rd.  Details to follow shortly.

Cover Art

It’s here, the cover art for my July release of the third book in the Vampire’s Angel Series!!!

Chewbacca

Do you know how difficult it is to write with a new puppy in the house?!  Chewbacca came home on April 5th.  This picture is from that weekend, so he’s already grown almost 3 pounds since.  He and his sister already LOVE to play.

Recent News

Hi Folks,

A couple of new things to tell you!

The first one has nothing to do with my writing.  I wanted to share that Paul and I got a new puppy last week!  He’s nine weeks old now, and named Chewbacca.  I shared last fall when Armand passed away, so it was time to add a new member to the family.  Akasha is having a lot of fun already with her new brother.  Probably teaching him all sorts of naughty stuff.  I will post pictures later, as I don’t have them on my computer yet.  And that’s a Paul job, because if I tried to do it, I would just fuck up the computer, my phone, a camera, or anything else that I touched.

In author news, the edits for The Vampire’s Witch are DONE!  Off to typesetting, and on schedule to share the third installment of the Vampire’s Angel Series with you this summer!!  Can’t wait!!

Review of Dark Sorcerer Threatening

Lambda Literary Review posted a very nice review of Dark Sorcerer Threatening!!  Check it out!  It’s part of a group review for Valentine’s Day, so read the review of Greg Herren’s latest novel, and mine is right after it!

Theatre

Here’s a random post for you, since I usually stick to writing about my work, etc.  Paul and I recently saw two plays.  While on vacation in Sydney, we saw “History Boys” for the second time, since we originally saw it on Broadway.  Then last Saturday we saw “Teddy Ferrarra” here in Chicago.

I don’t want to critique the plays, here, though I will say that I find “History Boys” to be brilliant in its complexity and incredibly thought provoking.  And “Teddy Ferrara” grapples with some intense contemporary issues.

But I do want to comment on the importance of the arts, in creating a culture, in pushing the limits, and in forcing our society to think.  You don’t have to agree with a writer or even like the play necessarily.  But for ages these types of venues have provided the space to debate and grapple with the world around us.  This is crucial and we mustn’t lose sight of what it does for us.

So there’s my soapbox for the day!  If you get a chance, go see one or both of these plays!!!!

January Update

Hi All,

I wanted to give a quick update on recent and upcoming projects:

Dark Sorcerer Threatening is out and available!  Looking forward to hearing reactions from all of you!

The Vampire’s Witch, Book III in The Vampire’s Angel series, just went through its first round of editing and is on schedule for a spring release.  I know Thomas and Xavier can’t wait to share their latest adventure with you!

AND – I just got news last week that Regal Crest has picked up the rights to publish my next novel.  This is the one about pirates – still searching for its title!

Zombie Short Story

First, you need to know that writing about zombies usually does not happen for me.  I have nothing against them, mind you.  I just don’t get called to that genre of horror.

So it’s wild and crazy that I am sharing this anthology with you – because I have a short story in it!!!  I can’t explain why, but this collection called to me.  Plus, I always wanted to publish something with Torquere Press.

I’m so happy I did!  Liz was a lot of fun to work with, and great at what she does.  I  think this anthology is a superb one (obviously, I’m biased, so you’ll have to decide for yourself).  Check it out!  Happy reading!
